Seth, Judah & I are loving this fall weather. Hoodies. Evening walks in sweats. Pumpkin lattes. Ok, so that last one is all me since Judah doesn’t really like pumpkin lattes, but we are loving being outside. And this Wildlife Prairie Park wedding hit the spot on a 75 degree fall day.
Alecia & Luke found us through the amazing internet and booked us over the phone since they live out of state. And when they were in town to visit family, we met up to do some engagement pictures on the farm, which suited this country couple. The farm is Luke’s family property and it is seriously beautiful. It also has goats and a donkey which is awesome….awesome as long as I’ve got some Claritin in me!
Anyway, these two are so fun and we knew the day was going to be a blast. We didn’t know if the weather would cooperate in September in the midwest but it did! What a perfect day (you’ll see below)–the sky was so blue.
Thanks Alecia & Luke (& google) for finding us and choosing us to capture your day!
Most guys don’t want to get their picture taken. Especially not by a stranger so I encourage them to get creative if they don’t want to look at the camera.
Luke should be the poster man for said guys. He’s brilliant at not looking at the camera.
Did I tell you about the sky or what? Crazy beautiful day and amazing bride. I can’t get enough of the sash. I love it!
Time for the groom’s portraits. Actually I like this one because he’s smiling at Alecia standing to the side of me. The pictures leading up to this of him striping down to the suspenders are hysterical.
A wedding planner once told me we were the quickest photographers she knew. Not that it’s a race….certainly not a close one.
But that’s for a few reasons, 1. being that I HATE standing around and LOVE bossing people around (in a nice way). and 2. because we shoot with different lens. So the next couple pictures display one pose and our two different shots. Starting off with Seth since it is SETH Morris Photography. Here is his shot:
And here is mine.
Love red barns. I am seriously obsessed with them. I may have to call up Grandma & Grandpa and see if I can bring out Judah (our son) for some pictures with the red barn. It’s especially awesome for us blue eyed people!
It came out in the toasts that Alecia wants 10 kids and after seeing her with her niece, I hope she and Luke have several blue eyed beauties like this. We’d HAVE to drive to Iowa to take their pictures!
I love this picture because I know someday this one will be in Lydia’s wedding slideshow. It’s such a sweet one. Those little teeth. Those blue eyes. Ahhhh, perfect.
This was a great group. I liked how they were all willing to jump in and help! Way to go, gang!
I was seriously obsessed with taking pictures of these flowers. If she would have thrown that bouquet, married or not, I probably would have gone for it.

Luke seeing Aleica come down the aisle.
I thought this was a sweet moment during the opening prayer.
Ok, so these guys kept checking the Iowa v. Iowa State game. Caught ya! Can’t hide from this photo ninja!
